The program consists of a one month medical acupuncture treatment course which instills an input into your physiology over several sessions to effectively control your appetite and shrink your stomach.

The result is a consistent weight loss pattern of approximately 1-3 pounds per week 0r 3-5 pounds per month. The effects continue to work after the treatment month and they are reinforced by two follow up treatments over the next three months.

SecondlyThe input is also based on a general circuit given at the first visit, which is designed to affect digestion in a positive way and shrink the stomach. The ear points are stimulated by small gold studs which are left in place in the ear until the next treatment.

WHAT IS THE PROTOCOL? · Initial consult; Billed to insurance. · DAY 1: General meridian acupuncture treatment combined with ear cupuncture points inserted into the right ear. Two key dietary rules instructed after the treatment. Total treatment time is 30-40 minutes. Ear points left in situ. Cost of first treatment $85. · DAY 4-6: Removal of 7 ear gold studs from right ear and insertion into left ear. Weight check. Dietary instruction reinforcement. Total treatment time 10-15 minutes. Cost of treatment $25. · DAY 7-11: Removal of left ear needles. Cost of treatment—FREE. · · DAY 13-18: Treatment cycle repeated over the next two weeks to reproduce the first two weeks. Cost of treatments $ identical to the first two weeks. · · ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Exercise routine optional and recommended but not compulsory. The medical acupuncture treatments are all administered by an MD physician, Dr. Gary Lewis, who has been trained in the technique at the Helms Medical Institute for Medical Acupuncture.	IS THERE ANY RESEARCH ON THE PROGRAM? To date the sample size is approximately patients as the program was initiated on 1/01/07. All but SEVEN patients have attained the target weight loss goals since inception. The program was reproduced from a colleague on the East Coast who had a sample size of 200 patients and all but three achieved significant weight loss results on the designated protocol.
